FREE D&D 5E TOOL

Chase Builder

Prepare a flexible chase, run it at the table, and turn every result into the next piece of the story.

What this tool does

A prepared chase, even when you had no time to prepare one

Chase Builder turns a handful of session details into a sequence of playable chase beats. Each beat gives you a polished passage to read aloud, private guidance for the DM, suggested checks, alternative approaches, and consequences that keep the story moving.

Use it when the party may need to flee, catch a target, survive a timed escape, carry someone to safety, or reach an objective before the opposition does. The tool proposes the scene, but you remain free to alter a DC, accept an unexpected spell, skip a roll, or replace any result with the ruling that best fits your table.
